Obituary of Ronald E Jarrell

Ronald E. Jarrell, of Rockledge, Florida, died on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the age of 92. Mr. Jarrell was born in South Charleston, West Virginia, on September 7, 1928. He graduated from South Charleston High School in 1946 during World War II. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and entered into training as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. Following his Army enlistment, he married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Anne Hill. Mr. Jarrell was an educator who attended various colleges and universities. In 1948, he enrolled in the Anderson College Theological Seminary in Indiana. He also attended Morris Harvey College (now University of Charleston) in West Virginia, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1956. He taught science, physical education, and driver’s education at Clearlake Junior High in Cocoa, Florida until 1965 before accepting a position with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington D.C., Quantico, Virginia, and Little Rock, Arkansas. During his career in education, he also attended West Virginia State University, Utah State University, Colgate University, University of Iowa, and the Florida Institute of Technology. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, and is survived by his son, David, and three daughters; Patricia, Debbie, and Kristi. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, as well as hundreds of friends and students who will never forget his inspirational character and personal strength. At his request, formal services will not be held.
