Amber is a beautiful woman, and she will be missed. To all who knew her and especially to her family, my sincere and loving prayers and condolences go to you! Her life was short, on earth but now she is living forever in heaven;--where all problems, sorrows, hurts, disappointments, and wrongs are no more.....she is happy and in glory with her Savior!! Rest in peace, sweet one!!

Hi my name's is Alicia Smith and I am Amber's oldest sibling. As the oldest I had a certain responsibility to uphold. My other sister Katie and Amber were like best friends and Amber and my brother Jayson were thick as thief's and always doing things together, but me I was more like a rock to her. If she got in trouble and needed help she'd ask for me, if she was stuck on the side of the road in another state she called me, and she just needed to get away and take a break from everything she'd come visit. She had such a beautiful and free spirit every time she would come to visit me we'd talk about the beautiful things she had seen and all the new places she had gone. Now I'm a planner I have to make sure I have everything packed, all itineraries are done, check list is complete, and hotels are paid for, but Amber just went with the flow and I love that about her. One day she called me up and said hey are you busy I'm on my way to your house and I said no come on over she gets there and she proceeds to tell me that she's only going to stay the night and tomorrow she's going to leave out and drive out to Niagara falls. She's going to make a few stops and meet some people on the way and I'm like oh man I would love to do that and she looks at me and she says well come on let's go and I of course chicken out and say no you go ahead and have fun keep me updated and send me lots of pictures and off she went. Amber loved doing stuff like that. She was always trying new things.
I would like to share this poem with you...
She Is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
And that's what I feel she would want from all of us. To remember her beautiful smile and to continue telling her story and sharing her memories.
A piece of me has left this world and now I'll never be the same, but that's okay because of her I am better person!
I love you Amber!
-Alicia

I met Amber about 6.5 years ago. I never expected that one person could be the catalyst to the biggest change in my life.
Through her, I gained an understanding of myself in a way I never expected, and gained all a man could ever want for himself. I will cherish the conversations I had with her, and be sure to share them with her son, as he grows and make sure he will always know how much his mother lived him, and will always be watching over him.
