Obituary of William F Broughton

William (Bill) F. Broughton, 74, went to his eternal rest on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He went peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side. Bill was a long-time resident of Daytona Beach, Florida where he was born on July 22, 1947 to Mary Margaret (nee Schaible) and Harry Broughton. Bill was a 1966 graduate of Father Lopez High School where he excelled in both football and baseball. Bill was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved being outdoors for both work and leisure. He served as a lineman and foreman for Florida Power and Light for his entire professional life of forty plus years. He enjoyed his retirement years socializing with his family and friends. Bill was a devout Catholic; an active member of the Chapel of the Holy Family in Melbourne, Florida where he served on the board and frequently devoted his time. He was a loving husband to Maureen and a wonderful father to Jessica and Jeremy. He leaves behind many dear friends and relatives who will miss him greatly. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-two years, Maureen (Lando) Broughton along with his loving children, Jessica Broughton and Jeremy Broughton. The family greatly appreciates the compassionate care that Bill received from the staff at Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice House. The family will decide on services at a later date.
