Obituary of Donald H Doyon

.Donald H. Doyon, 77, of Melbourne passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 7, 2011. He was born March 23, 1933 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Donald served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1955 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Returning from the service he worked at the Springfield Armory and R & L Canteen Service. He moved to Melbourne in 1974 and found employment at Patrick Air Force Base and retired after 18 years of service in 1996. He was predeceased by sons, Danny and Larry Doyon. He is survived by his sweetheart, Lorette Gaumond; son, Ronald (Kathy) Doyon of Ventura, CA; daughter, Marie (Tony) Curviel of Palm Bay; grandchildren, Tabitha Alexakis, Ryan Doyon, Anton Curviel and Yolanda Hernandez; and three great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine (Charles) Russ of St. Petersburg; brother, Bill (Theresa) Doyon of Austin, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donald loved life and lived it to it's fullest. He loved his music, dancing and winning at playing poker. He was a Life member of the American Legion, member of the Moose Club and the Elks Lodge. Donald will be remembered and clearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. A Mass will be held Friday, February 11, 2011 at 11 am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N. Highway A1A, Indialantic, (321) 773-2783.
