Obituary of Robert Stewart Gallagher

Robert Stewart Gallagher passed away Oct 8, 2020 after a brave battle with cancer in Rockledge Florida. Robbie, as he was known to most, was born July 9, 1970. The fourth child of Jerry and Fleta Gallagher in San Gabriel, CA. He spent his childhood growing up in Arcadia where he participated in Little League, recreational soccer and Pop Warner Football. He wanted to play football so badly that he had to put rolls of pennies in his socks so he would make weight for the team. He was an adorable altar boy at Holy Angels Church. After finishing High School he proudly joined the United States Army. He was medically discharged after only a few years of service. It was at this time that he relocated to Florida where his mother, Fleta, was living at the time. He lovingly cared for her for the rest of her life. He met and married the love of his life, Debbie Gallagher in Rockledge, Fl. She was drawn as she says to his “piercing blue eyes”. He instantly became part of her extended family to her two adult children, Shanna Lozada and Brian Kendall. And he was beyond proud to be Pop Pop to his grandchildren Roman, Owen, Ana & Bella . Robbie loved collecting antique military swords and weaponry. He found pleasure in riding his bike and being out in the Florida Sunshine. He enjoyed Nascar Robbie is survived by his wife of 15 years, Debbie Gallagher, siblings Debbie Lesh, Amanda Durant and Eric Gallagher, cousin Chad Sullivan nieces and nephews. He was always the first to reach out to family members and keep us all connected. He was the mischievous uncle who would tease the kids but kept them coming back for more. Robbie you will be missed by all who knew and loved you. In the words of an Irish Blessing: May the roads rise up to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, May the rains fall soft upon fields And until we meet again May God hold you in the palm of his hand. Robbie’s last wish is this: Remember me with laughter cause that’s how I’ll remember you all!! If you can only remember me with tears, then don’t remember me at all!!
