Obituary of Robert "Bob" Eugene Towers

Bob lived and served the Melbourne community for 40 years as a real estate investor and “handy-man” who specialized in remodeling and renovations. Bob’s faith in Christ continued to grow, especially during the past 14 years at Suntree Grace Church where he as an active member and supporter of their ministries. He also enjoyed the Florida beaches and RV camping especially at those beaches. Bob belonged to the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Chrysler PT Club. Though involved in other hobbies faith in Jesus was the driving force of his life and guided him through life and all of the challenges he faced. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Irene Towers, one brother Billy Towers and a grandson Joey Towers. Bob Towers is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Barbara Towers. He is also survived by his sister Patsy Owens, nephew Bill (Diane) Towers his 4 sons: Jeff (Pam) Towers, Jim (Mark) Towers, Steve (Kirsten) Towers, Will (Christina) Towers and one step-son Chris (Tasha) Bishop. Bob is also survived by his 11 combined grandchildren: Caitlyn, Gianna, Cole, Sara, Logan, Johnathan, Katelyn, Catherine, Lydia, Morgan and Alexander. Bob loved his blended family and was very proud of his children and their various accomplishments. He also loved his grandchildren, he enjoyed watching them grow up and spending time with them and was always happy to share about each one. Bob’s personal faith in Jesus and the Bible gave him strength and guidance for his life’s journey, even through the difficult times and he did his best to live his life accordingly. Many people loved Bob and his kind, light-hearted and fun personality, he left a legacy for those who knew him. He was honest and kind equally accepting of life’s obstacles and joys seeing each as an opportunity to serve and glorify God. For all who would like to celebrate his life, please join us for a Celebration of Life Service which will be held outside Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:00am at his home located at 3110 Harlock Road, Melbourne, Florida 32931. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory (Towers Memorial) to Suntree Grace at 1001 N. Pinehurst Avenue, Melbourne, Florida 32940 or to the local Leukemia Society.
